House Cleaning Schedule
1. Daily Cleaning Routine: Make Your Bed
The first daily habit you will do is make your bed in the mornings. This is a small task that will make you feel like you have your life together from the minute you wake up!
This small task gives you your first win of the day and puts you on the right track. Not to mention your bedroom looks much prettier with a made bed and it’s cozier crawling in to at night. Trust me!
2. Daily Cleaning Routine: Run The Dishwasher
The next daily habit you will implement into your cleaning routine is running the dishwasher every single night. We will absolutely not be keeping dirty dishes in the sink over night. Letting the sink pile up with dirty dishes is mistake number one! Avoid this build up and unnecessary clutter by loading and running your dishwasher every night.
In order to run your dishwasher every night, you have to make sure you’re putting the clean ones away. What works best for me is unloading the clean dishes every morning right when I wake up. It takes literally 5 minutes and I tackle it while my coffee brews.
Then when you use dishes throughout the day, you can easily put the dirty ones in the dishwasher immediately to avoid any sink build up! Clean as you go!

3. Easy House Cleaning Schedule: Wipe Down Kitchen Area
Moving on to our next household chore you will add into your cleaning schedule! The next thing you will do every night after dinner is wipe down your kitchen area. I’m talking counter tops, sink, stove, kitchen table, and appliances if needed.
A daily cleanse helps keep germs away from this common area, cleans up any sticky messes, and gets rid of those pesky little crumbs. Doing this quickly and daily makes tackling the kitchen messes not so daunting.
These are my favorite cleaning products for the kitchen area! I use the Lysol All Purpose Spray every single night when wiping down my kitchen area. It will make your kitchen smell incredible!

4. Cleaning Routine: Small Load Of Laundry
This next habit you will implement daily will make such a huge difference in not falling behind on your house work! We all know how fast laundry can pile up until one day it’s just out of control! You will avoid this by doing a small load of laundry each night.
That means you will wash clothes, dry clothes, AND put them away each night. It might sound like a lot doing laundry every single day but since it’s such a small amount it won’t take you more than 10 minutes maximum!
Remember, it’s the small daily chores that only take a few minutes that will make a huge difference in your overall cleaning schedule. I especially love this daily habit if you have a large family with laundry that tends to pile up quickly. No more getting overwhelmed with mountains of laundry with this cleaning hack!

5. Daily Cleaning Routine: Vacuum
Another daily cleaning routine task you’ll do is vacuum! Run the vacuum each night over common areas in the house that get a lot of foot traffic to remove any dust, dirt, or crumbs. For my household, that includes the kitchen and living room areas.
Again, you can see the pattern of doing small tasks each night helps you avoid hours of house work that can quickly pile up throughout the week.

6. Daily Cleaning Routine: Organize Your Closet
Now you’ll move on to your closet area. Whether you have your own closet or you’re sharing with a spouse, I’m sure you know how fast closets can get out of control. That’s why we’re making this chore a daily habit.
To organize your closet, pick up any clothes you threw in the floor when you were picking out an outfit and hang them back up. Get the dirty clothes out of the floor and into the hamper. Reorganize or straighten up hanging clothes if needed!
If you want to go above and beyond, go ahead and pick out your outfit for the next day so you aren’t scrambling in the morning!
Closet Organization Essentials:
7. Daily Cleaning Routine: General Pickup
The last daily habit of your cleaning routine will be a general pick up throughout your home. This is the time you’ll get any random household items back in their place. This includes things like shoes, backpacks, work bags, kid toys, anything sitting out on your counter, etc.
You’ll straighten up your living area. Put your pillows back on the couch and arrange them nicely. Chop them! Fold the blankets. Light your candle. Get your house looking good, smelling good, and cozy! You will sleep better at night, I promise! Then you’ll wake up in the morning to a pretty, organized home.

8. Weekly Cleaning Schedule: Declutter Your Junk Drawer
Moving on to weekly cleaning tasks you need to add to your routine. These chores aren’t needed daily but once a week should do the trick! Focusing your efforts on these areas once a week should keep them cleaned and organized.
Once a week you will clean out your junk drawer, basket, or catch all area in your home. I’m talking the places you let pile up with mail, random papers, kids school work, receipts, etc. Go through the mess, throw away the items not needed, and declutter the area.
Organize all your loose papers. A file folder works great to organize your papers and receipts. Decorative baskets are also great to put on your counter to disguise some of the items.
Decluttering Essentials:
9. Cleaning Routine: Take Out The Trash When Needed
This next chore is based on your household needs. It’s time to discuss taking out the trash. If you’re anything like my household, this chore is needed about every other day. Assess your own home and determine how “trashy” your family is! 😉
And if you have a husband, definitely make him take on this task!
10. Weekly Cleaning Routine: Bathroom Area
The last one on the list is the bathroom area! Clean your bathrooms about 1-2 times a week. No one likes this chore so it’s not needed daily but a good deep clean once a week will benefit your household!
Wipe down the counters, scrub your toilet, and clean the toothpaste off of your mirror. If you’re really brave scrub your shower. Or you could be like me and recruit your husband to deep clean the shower! I highly recommend that!
