I have always loved interior design, decorating, and making things look pretty! Even as a little girl I was constantly asking my mom to redecorate my room and oddly enough, she would let me! She loved it just as much as I did. That’s who I get my love of interior design from. She’s taught me everything I know!
Catch me and mom out on any given Saturday roaming a thrift store or a Goodwill searching for “treasures!” We’re addicted to the hunt.
I currently live with my husband in our first home. It was a fixer upper that we renovated, spruced up, and decorated all on our own while sticking to a friendly budget. We’re coming up on two years in this sweet, little home of ours and the projects/decorating are still going strong!
My favorite design element to add into any space are personal touches. Pieces that show your personality or tell a story. Adding decor pieces like that into your space will help create a cozy, classic room. I once saw the quote “collect, don’t decorate” and I have applied that technique into my designing ever since! Surround yourself with what you love! A collected home is never “finished.”
