We would decorate all day and then watch a Christmas movie that night. I looked forward to that cozy day at home each year! We did this every year growing up and now I have adopted this tradition in my own home!
I highly recommend making this a tradition in your home as well. It’s so fun! It’s something you can do together as a family and It’s the perfect time to be productive and get a head start on the holiday decor.

2. How to be productive on Black Friday: Organize your house
Another way you can be productive on Black Friday is to organize your house! This idea allows you to stay in the comfort of your home instead of encountering the madness that Black Friday brings. Take the time to declutter your home. An organized house is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it’s also good for your mental clarity and mind.
Getting organized right in time for the holidays and the new year will get you on the right track to a fresh start! I’m basically the queen of organization and slightly obsessed with it so you’ve come to the right place to get started!
I know all the best organization hacks and tools to get your house organized while still making your home pretty and functional.
ORGANIZATION
These organization totes are perfect storage options or perfect for moving! They serve so many purposes, hold a hefty amount of items, and are easy to carry.
I also love these because they don’t take up as much space as boxes normally would because they are collapsable. You can fit so many in your closet or under the bed! These are such great quality at a really good price!
This is my favorite makeup organizer! It fits all of my makeup products, keeps it completely clean and organized, and looks so aesthetically pleasing sitting on top of my vanity.
THE BEST CHRISTMAS STORAGE ORGANIZATION
Since you’ll be having a very productive day on Black Friday while you’re decorating for Christmas and getting organized, you might as well throw in some Christmas decoration storage items! You don’t want to be caught without a way to store and organize all your Christmas decor when it’s time to come down and put it away.
This wrapping paper storage container is brilliant! It’s one of my favorite organization pieces to date! It makes keeping all your gift wrap materials so easy to organize and store year after year. This is a MUST HAVE item!
These are the best invention ever! These were such a game changer last Christmas season! No more having to crawl behind the Christmas tree to turn on the lights or go outside in the cold to plug in your outdoor lights. Use these bad boys and turn all your lights on with a simple switch of a button!
3. Productive things to do on Black Friday: Travel
Another thing you can do the day after Thanksgiving on Black Friday is travel! You can travel a long distance, go a few hours away, or do some type of staycation. Don’t get me wrong, I do love being at home in my cozy house, but I’m never going to turn down an opportunity to travel and you shouldn’t either! Take the trip! Travel to go see your family! Enjoy the vacation!
One thing I’ve learned is that I have regretted buying material things which is what a lot of Black Friday shopping consists of. However, I have never ever once regretted a vacation, trip, or experience!
Many people do travel the day after Thanksgiving. No matter your reason for travel whether it’s business or pleasure, you’re going to need some basic travel necessities to make traveling easier!
TRAVEL NECESSITIES
I’m not sure how I ever traveled before without this amazing travel toiletry organizer! It holds everything! I can fit all of my products in this bag. I love it because everything sits up right vertically! One of my favorite and most used purchases to date!

4. Avoid the crowds on Black Friday: Stay home and be cozy
Instead of getting caught in the crazy amount of people and traffic on Black Friday, stay home, relax, and be cozy! Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is prioritize your health and sometimes that means relaxing.
Don’t always be caught up in the fast paced, grinding culture. It’s important to give your body the important rest it needs. And Black Friday is the perfect opportunity to do so! Face it, you’re going to be so full from pigging out the day before anyways, so cozy up on the couch and enjoy it!
